Always a visionary, CEO and President Les Smith, passionately and intentionally designed ways to transform the commercial trucking industry with customers in mind. He set out to do it with highly engineered products that address needs for lower tare weight and those which incorporate innovative approaches to reducing maintenance, down-times, and enhanced safety features. All of this leads to increased profits for customers.
Extreme began operations early in 2016 in a fully-operational facility with a highly skilled manufacturing team. His determination to bring prosperity and new thinking to fleets, trucking companies, owner operators, and drivers led him to produce some of the most exciting new products on the market today.
Extreme Trailers is a family owned operation led by Les Smith, CEO and President, and his wife Laura Smith, Controller. In 2017 his sons, Luke Smith, VP Supply Chain, and Lance Smith, Plant Manager, joined the company to help with the day-to-day operations. All of them have roots in the industry and share Les's passion for trailer manufacturing as well as serving customers at the highest level. The Extreme Team possesses over 80 years of industry expertise in various high-level capacities. They use this knowledge to create innovative products that will transform the way you do business.
As CEO, Les oversees all operations at Extreme Trailers, LLC. With over 30 years of experience in Sales and Operations, Les saw a need to change the issues that were hampering profitability for fleets and owner operators. Les has created a product that will innovate the transportation industry.
As the Financial Controller of Extreme Trailers, LLC, Laura Smith uses her experience and expertise to help the company achieve financial success. Laura has over 25 years of experience in finance and is the support system that keeps Extreme Trailers moving forward.
Luke is responsible for all procurement, cost analysis, pricing and management of materials. Prior to joining Extreme Trailers, Luke worked with several other companies throughout the industry gaining valuable experience as both an innovator and leader.
Lance is responsible for operations planning, production and scheduling and customer care. Prior to joining Extreme Trailers, Lance held several leadership positions for AIM National Lease including his most recent position as Service Manager.
